Purpose
As the Business Development Manager you are responsible for developing new business opportunities for MICE across the Accor Apartments & Realty property portfolio through business development practices, relationships and proactive sales initiatives. The position will identify revenue opportunities and undertake direct sales activity to convert business.
This role can be based in the Gold Coast, Sydney or Melbourne.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and capture untapped market opportunities across the region for Accor Apartments & Realty properties covering meetings, conference, incentives and exhibition
  • Play a key role in shaping the future of our MICE business, driving revenue and performance through strategic planning, partnerships, negotiation and client engagement
  • Build and develop relationships with key accounts, undertake sales calls, attend business events, trade shows as required maximizing the revenue outcome
  • Provide proposals, convert, negotiate contracts and close leads
  • Hosting site inspections and famils across properties to increase new leads and opportunities
  • Conduct regular property analysis reporting to ensure need properties are identified and focussed on
  • Maintain a current and accurate knowledge of competitor products, be able to highlight their disadvantages and promote relevant benefits

Skills and Experience

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and presentation
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify market trends and capitalise on emerging opportunities.
  • Good understanding of hotel platforms
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is high desirable
