JOB OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A professional sales management post requiring good sales knowledge and skills in a technical environment. Working collabortaively with the MIS Sales team, who will drive sales across the MIS Division and the wider Mitie, the BDM will be responsible for expanding sales and selling opportunity across a wide and diverse customer base. The delivery of these commitments will be crucial to ensuring the continued expansion of offers into our account base. The BDM will be critical to ensuring these works are delivered profitably and the customer experience is positive.

ROLE DELIVERABLES;

  • Be an industry thought leader in the field of Esoteric (TSCM) with cross collaboration targets to achieve across the broader MIS sales
  • Building and managing a viable pipeline of opportunities
  • Responsible for the organisation of visits to existing and prospective clients
  • Assist in the execution of email sales and marketing campaigns
  • Collect prospect data and generate new leads
  • Client Follow up - Account Management
  • Provide regular analysis and reports on Sales & Opportunities
  • Provide Weekly/ Monthly Sales Forecast
  • Create and issue professional client proposals
  • Ensure processes in Sales Standard Operating Procedure are executed
  • Attend exhibitions, conferences and networking events
  • Identify exhibitions, conferences and networking events
  • Assist in preparation of exhibitions, conferences and networking events
  • Manage pipeline of opportunities on the company’s CRM database(s) and ensure data integrity
  • Manage Sales Controlled Documentation (i.e. SOPs)
  • Initiate and manage Strategic Partnerships
  • Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
  • Assist in identifying material for directory of case studies, reports and statistics
  • Internal interfaces: Strategic Account Managers, Account Directors, Managing Directors, Service Delivery Directors, Service Delivery Managers

MAIN DUTIES

  • Ensure that operational performance and sales/margin targets are met, and that the business grows in line with plans.
  • Collate, assess, and share information such that market developments and opportunities are identified and realistic business & demand plans can be created.
  • Ensure that customer relationships are managed such that account development objectives are achieved.
  • Gather and co-ordinate effective information relating to customers, markets, products, and competitors in order to identify new opportunities in line with plans.
  • Supporting in the setting and management of realistic expense and revenue/cost budgets so that sales targets are met or beaten.
  • The identification, management, and development of relationships with key stakeholder groups, to monitor levels of awareness and attitudes, and to ensure understanding and buy-in to the change.
  • Maintain contact (via telephone, email and visits) with existing customer base, introducing them to new services while providing excellent customer support
  • Introduce new prospects (via telephone, email and visits) to our services and convert them to customers
  • Level value proposition development. Works with Strategic Sales team and KAD to develop our customers pitches, commercial models, and delivery approaches in the pre-sales stage
  • Drive delivery teams to service excellence to ensure what is sold is delivered
  • Ability to gain trust and commitment from senior leaders

HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;
