Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our MRI team. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and developing new business opportunities. This is a key role, requiring excellent negotiation skills, strategic planning abilities, and a strong understanding of the market. This role will be based in the Midwest (Twin Cities, etc.). Travel required is approximately 35%-50%.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize standard SOP per company policies and drive improvement of processes, systems and tools in order to improve efficiency of the organization.
  • Monitor the Market (Trends, Competition, Technologies, Standards, Organizations, VOC, Research etc.) and develop product strategy and roadmap based on all relevant data. Enable and steer the sales team to success.
  • Collaborate with ODU GmbH for a corporate alignment of the PM strategies. Communicate on regular basis & Sales meetings to ensure updates are shared and resources are aligned.
  • Assist Sales in closing sales of new products, new to customer, new to market, new to channel. Actively engage all resources to drive new business. Evaluate and consider pipeline opportunities, working with sales to determine the realistic business case. Drive to order and completion.
  • Grow and retain existing major accounts by presenting new solutions and services to client. Investigate need for products and development of new and future programs. Communicate VOC to organization.
  • Meet with Customer mid and high Management / Engineering to discuss developing new products, services for future customer products.
  • In conjunction with the market assessment, assist sales in cold calls and market development in planned business segments. Evaluate key customers, new prospects, new markets & opportunities.
  • Bring new products to the market or to fill customer requests. Actively direct and prioritize AC resources for products that fill the highest value (strategically, time to market, opportunistically or by revenue).
  • Create Partnerships that benefit sales and operations (i.e Distributors, Suppliers, VAD, standard organizations, research, think tanks, etc.)
  • Prepare market assessments and direct RSM to new customers, markets and Applications based on strategy developed.
  • Provide as required sales billings and booking forecasts by product working with Sales, Applications Center & CRM.
  • Fulfill the role of opportunity champion & product expert, and visionary. Actively direct AC center to balance short term maximum revenue and long-term product development for sustained growth of the product line & opportunistic custom application.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field, or equivalent education and work experience, required
  • Prior experience working with a European company a plus
  • Five (5) years of experience with a proven track record in technical sales and business development roles in the Medical market
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to understand industrial processes
  • Experience in customer relationship management (CRM) software usage (e.g., Salesforce, SAP)
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends and develop effective strategies
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
