Are you well acquainted with the Transport and waste industry and have extensive truck knowledge, then we want to hear from you.

  • Knowledge of the Transport and waste industry
  • Experience in customer presentations, negotiation and closing sales Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to generate leads - a self-starter
  • The ability to work collaboratively with all other functions - a good team player A sense a sense of urgency - able to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Multi- tasker and organised
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
  • Strong Sales background
  • Technical experience
  • A good understanding of customer and internal procurement processes

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

To proactively source new business opportunities. In addition, you win manage customer relationships from new to current customers and close deals to maximise profitability.

MAIN AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in addition to furthering relationships and revenue streams with an existing Customer base
  • Develop relationships with a wide variety of customers and colleagues
  • Work closely with Head office colleagues and senior team members to ensure all forecasting is realistic and targets are achieved
  • Create and communicate leads and sale opportunities for the group
  • Submit, follow up and communicate quotations to new and existing customers
  • Manage both customer expectations and the relationship with the customer from initial lead to implementation
  • Identify and support bid and tender management for larger opportunities
  • Understand the needs and business challenges for customers and provide compelling solutions to resolve them. Create reports as required in line with company expectations
