Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Plan sales activities and set targets for specific vertical and/or geography
  • Identify opportunities to cross and upsell to customers within a specific vertical and/or geography
  • Lead generation to build and support current and future vertical specific pipeline
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system
  • Regular interface with prospective, current customers, phone and face to face meetings
  • Identify new business opportunities within the specific vertical and/or geography
  • Deliver all Customer KPI’s in accordance with the Sales Strategy/plan
  • Accountable to grow and optimise profitable commercial revenue streams
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers
  • Accountable for the ongoing management of allocated customer base
  • Accountable for growing customer base

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • 5+ years’ experience in freight forwarding with a focus on key account management/sales or customer solutions, service, and operations
  • Able to manage priorities, be well organised, methodical and deal well under pressure
  • Excel in customer lead generation experience
  • Experience in driving and developing relationships in freight forwarding or related market
  • Proven strong customer pipeline planning skills and experience
  • Advanced communication and negotiation skills
  • Process driven and pro-active
