Oxford Economics Australia, is looking to hire a high-calibre Business Development Manager, who will be contributing to the expansion of our market-leading consultancy business in Australia. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A proven, demonstrable sales track record over the past 3-7 years
  • A good understanding of industry, business strategies and the public sector
  • Proven track record of working across different stakeholders/ territories
  • Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at once
  • Must have strong presentation and writing skills
  • Familiar with using Salesforce preferred
  • A self-starter with the drive to set and reach ambitious goals
  • A team player

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the economic consulting and in-house marketing teams to develop and take ownership of new business development strategies for consulting sales in Australia with a view to reaching established sales targets. This will include organising and facilitating executive round table events.
  • Drive sales of OE’s services by sourcing new opportunities from out-bound cold calls, emails, incoming enquiries, existing relationships
  • Develop a strong knowledge of the consulting services and become proficient at articulating and demonstrating these services and their value to prospects
  • Research companies using various resources to gain intelligence and identify key individuals within these firms to target for sales opportunities
  • Communicate opportunities, challenges, product development requests and feedback to the rest of the team and keep CRM updates
  • Maintain a knowledge of local and global economic and business trends to facilitate conversations at the highest level
  • Grow the team over time through recruitment, training and oversight of junior members

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for selling services such as, but not limited to the following:

  • Corporate economic impact studies for large companies – particularly in the tech and finance sectors.
  • Corporate sustainability reports for large companies based on valuing scope three emissions and nature related initiatives.
  • Transport and infrastructure related cost-benefit analysis and business case services for Government
  • Construction cost escalation forecasts and advice for clients in the following sectors:
  • Mining
  • Construction
  • Government
  • Syndicated market research reports focused on the construction sector and household appliances
  • Local market research reports for property developers to support new real estate projectsSocio-economic impact studies for renewable energy project
