We are now looking for a Business Development Manager, Packaging Papers, EMEIA & Americas to contribute to growing UPM Specialty Papers’ packaging paper business.

What you will do
- Grow the business for the Specialty Papers Packaging segment and provide day-to-day support for business development initiatives
- Establish and develop effective relationships with relevant brand owner organizations to build partnerships leading to future growth opportunities
- Achieve and maintain a high rate of speed in generating new project leads through extensive networking
- Collaborate with local Sales and Customer Service, as well as with global Product & Technology teams
- Assist the product portfolio and technology team to identify unmet needs and implement initiatives to meet those needs
- Direct and execute feasibility studies, business case analysis and/or investment proposals
- Participate in trade associations and technical conferences related to target market opportunities. Monitor and report on industry trends, build influence through establishing relationships in the entire segment value chain
Who you are
- You have relevant commercial degree/education and technical understanding of complex products
- You have proven history in building business with brand owners, ideally in a B-to-B environment
- You have sales skills, as well as product, application and process knowledge in packaging, and experience in the packaging industry and market
- You have good communication and interpersonal skills
- You have commercial and networking skills
- You are familiar with working in matrix organization
- You are decisive and results-driven
- You show an ability to adjust to new conditions efficiently
