Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This role involves developing and executing strategies to increase sales and market share, managing a team of sales professionals, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the medical devices sector (wound closure) and a proven track record in sales and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business development strategies: Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to drive growth and increase revenue.
- Manage and lead the sales team: Oversee, coach, and mentor a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets and foster a high-performance culture.
- Build and maintain relationships: Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including hospitals, clinics, healthcare providers, and distributors.
- Analyze market trends: Monitor and analyze market conditions, competitor activities, and industry trends to inform strategic decision-making.
- Sales planning and forecasting: Develop and manage sales plans, forecasts, and budgets to achieve company goals.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams: Collaborate with marketing and customer support teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of business plans.
- Negotiate contracts, agreements and tender management: Handle negotiations and close deals with clients, partners, and suppliers. Lead tender management processes.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities to senior management.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business development or sales management, preferably within the medical devices industry.
- Leadership skills: Proven experience in managing and leading sales teams to meet or exceed targets.
- Industry knowledge: Strong understanding of the medical devices market (wound closure products), including regulatory requirements and healthcare industry dynamics.
- Communication skills: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset: Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform business decisions.
- Proactive and self-motivated: Strong drive to achieve and exceed targets, with a proactive and strategic approach to business development.
- Travel: Willingness to travel as required to meet clients, attend industry events, and support the sales team.
- Fluency in English and Polish
