Therefore, we are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate has min 5 years’ experience with international, technical sales and business development, preferably in the energy sector. You have strong communication skills and comfortable engaging new contacts at different organizational levels. You have experience with complex sales requiring both commercial and technical knowledge. You have a relevant master’s or bachelor’s degree in business or engineering.

Responsibilities:

TEAM AND ROLE

In Surveillance and Mission Solutions we are working with surveillance and security systems and solutions for airports, critical energy infrastructure, maritime and navy customers. The Business Development department is looking for a commercially strong and experienced Business Development Manager, to support Business Development and Sales activities in the evolving market for protection of critical infrastructure. Customers will initially be energy companies and developers in offshore and onshore wind. We are looking for result-oriented Business Development Manager with excellent communication and personal skills to master all aspects of the business development process in new market.
The area for critical energy infrastructure protection is evolving and Terma has solutions and experience that we want to further develop and bring to the market. The area covers both civil and defense interest and is commercially complex and specialized and still at an early development stage. Your will play an important role in mapping understanding the customers pain points, market needs, maturing Terma’s offerings, and promoting and positioning Terma as a Thought Leader in this area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities will cover a multitude of areas:

  • Identify, develop and drive business opportunities and new accounts
  • Support building a strong pipeline
  • Arrange and execute customer meetings
  • Identify and establish relationships with existing and new customers at multiple organizational levels
  • Establish a strong network with key stakeholders in industry associations, relevant authorities, and key organizations
  • Work closely with colleagues from other department to develop the business area globally
  • Work closely with Sales Department to prepare commercial and technical proposals and negotiate contracts
  • Support development of sales materials and marketing campaigns
  • Participate in industry exhibitions and seminars
