WE ARE SEEKING TO HIRE AN EIS BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONAL (LONDON-BASED) TARGETING HNWIS AND WEALTH MANAGERS.

o2h Ventures is seeking a dynamic individual to join us as a Business Development Manager, responsible for driving business growth and attracting potential investors to o2h’s two live funds. Reporting to Sunil Shah, you will be responsible for securing capital for o2h’s EIS Funds by building strategic relationships with high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) and wealth managers/advisors. Your role will involve leveraging your expertise in EIS to educate and empower these HNWIs and wealth managers/advisors, enabling them to confidently invest or recommend o2h funds to their clients. This will help fuel the growth of innovative biotech startups and generate attractive returns for investors.
You can be associated with us for part/full time to fundraise for our tax-efficient funds through a developed IFA network or from HNWIs. The two live funds are:
1. The o2h human health SEIS Fund
2. The o2h human health EIS Knowledge Intensive Fund.
About the Role: In this key role, you’ll be responsible for securing capital for our EIS Funds by forging strategic relationships with HNWIs and wealth managers/advisors. You’ll leverage your expertise in EIS to educate and empower these professionals to confidently recommend our funds to their clients. Your success will fuel the growth of innovative biotech startups and generate attractive returns for investors.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in financial services or wealth management, with a strong network of HNWIs and wealth advisors.
  • Sound knowledge of the S/EIS schemes, it’s tax benefits, and it’s attractiveness to HNWIs.
  • Ability to educate complex financial concepts to non-specialist audiences.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory environment surrounding EIS investments.
  • Proven experience in business development, preferably within the financial services sector or investment industry
  • In-depth knowledge of EIS and SEIS tax-efficient investment schemes in the UK
  • Strong understanding of financial products, investment principles, and risk management
  • Familiarity with FCA regulations and compliance standards

Responsibilities:

  • Target and develop relationships with wealth managers and financial advisors who cater to HNWIs.
  • Conduct in-depth briefings for wealth managers and advisors, clearly explaining the benefits of EIS investments (tax reliefs, growth potential).
  • Partner with advisors to tailor investment presentations that resonate with their specific client base.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of competitor offerings in the EIS space.
  • Proactively identify and qualify potential HNWIs through advisor networks and other channels.
  • Liaise with the internal team (legal, compliance) to ensure a seamless investment process for HNWIs.
  • Set and exceed fundraising targets for assigned EIS Funds.
  • Attend and support IFA and industry conferences/seminars.
    Special Note: The position could be part-time or full-time and the candidate should be based in London.
