Salary – £23,500 per annum (OTE £35k-40k+ p/a)
Hours - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week with flexible, hybrid working
Location – Initial training in the Portsmouth office but then remote
Holiday – 23 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) increasing by one day per each year of service (up to a maximum of 5 days)
About the Business Development Manager role

We have an exciting role for a Business Development Manager in our Portsmouth office.
This role will involve initial training in the Portsmouth office but will be a remote role thereafter.
We are looking for someone who is willing to work as an integral part of a busy team. Working in an ever changing landscape you must be able to demonstrate resilience, flexibility and energy. If you are commercially minded with a focus on business aims and knowledge of our market and competition then this could be the role for you.
Key responsibilities of a Business Development Manager will include:
- execute the outbound telemarketing campaigns
- appointment setting for conference calls for Partners and Managers
- maintenance of prospect data
- generate new business leads
- manage opportunity pipelines
- general administration duties where required
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- experience working in an office environment
- minimum 1 year telesales experience
- excellent understanding of telephone sales techniques, in particular overcoming objectives and closing the same
- knowledge of our market and competition is desirable
- english and maths GCSE at minimum grade 5+
- excellent IT skills, including a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
- charismatic and passionate and able to engage well with contacts
- good understanding of how excellent customer service is delivered
- takes pride in own work and the success of the company
- focused on achieving deadlines
- able to balance busy workflow demands
- adaptable as work can change instantaneously
- ability to quickly establish relationships at all levels
- highly personable with excellent communication skills and presentation
