Terma is facing an exciting future with considerable growth and demanding changes, as we deliver advanced technologies and mission critical solutions for the defense and aerospace industry. Our systems provide security for people on land, at sea and in the air. In space, we are engaged in reaching new frontiers and enabling people on our planet to deal with new and upcoming challenges.
Therefore, we are currently looking for a Business Development Manager for Accelerator to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.

QUALIFICATIONS

Your key competencies will include:

• Mixing commercial and technological prowess to analyze opportunities and prioritize resources accordingly
• Building relationships with key stakeholders to enable open and trusted conversations about pain points and future priorities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to modulate depending on whether you speak to an admiral, a senior technical expert or a radar operator
• Sufficient Excel and PowerPoint skills to credibly conduct and present analyses – but not more than that. We build prototypes, not PowerPoint decks
• Psychological robustness to handle classified information relating to Danish security

If you have less than 3 years of experience within the required field, we would like to receive your diploma including your grades.

Education:

• You can have a background in STEM with a strong commercial gene, or a business background with a robust understanding of technology. Or you are an officer from e.g. Danish Defense with a strategic mindset coupled with deep understanding of ConOps, current painpoints and future challenges driven by the technological and geopolitical development.

TEAM AND ROLE

Since early 2022, it’s become clear that the global landscape is shifting. Denmark, along with our NATO allies, is facing increasing challenges from foreign powers. In this rapidly changing environment, the ability to deliver new technologies quickly is essential to securing Denmark, our interests, and those of our allies. That’s why Terma has created an Accelerator to speed up the development of critical technologies—and now we’re looking to grow further.
The Terma Accelerator is a dynamic, fast-moving team dedicated to accelerating cutting-edge technology development. We work hand-in-hand with the Danish Defense and allied forces to create solutions that meet their highest priorities. Through agile, user-focused development, we ensure that the end users are part of every step of the process. Our team is made up of AI specialists, software developers, drone and robotics experts, and senior business developers, and we’re expanding quickly. The Accelerator is a very diverse team in terms of nationalities, educational backgrounds and age. The working language is English.
What unites everyone in the Accelerator is a bias for action and a “whatever it takes” attitude. You won’t just be behind a desk — building cutting edge, successful technology requires deep understanding of the user needs, and we often look over the shoulder of a sailor on a frigate, sit down with a SAR-team for helicopter rescues, and discuss drone warfare with domestic and international defense forces, just to name a few of our initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop commercially successful cutting-edge technologies: Commercially successful development starts with picking the right problems to solve. We hire neither fortune tellers nor astrologists, so picking the problems which will generate profitable products comes down to your toolbox and way of working. You will be leading the dialogue with customers and based on this guide develop the scope, applications and key value points for product demonstrations.
• Work with key stakeholders across Terma, incl. Product Management and Sales: The Accelerator builds proof of concepts and working prototypes, which we test live with customers and end users. Once the technological relevance and commercial potential has been established the technology will be handed over to other parts of Terma for scaling. Strong relationships and close alignment are key success factors in this.
• Assist with running the Accelerator: Keeping track of Accelerator financials (revenue, costs and headcounts), preparing internal and external presentations and any other activities needed to keep the Accelerator running at full speed.
