Trane Technologies is looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to join the team supporting the Texas DSO. This position will represent Trane Technologies as they pursue new opportunities for our business and develop customer relationships to ensure maximum revenues through account penetration. This includes finding, developing and onboarding new channel partners in order to sell the company’s products to end-users.

    Where is the work: This position has been designated as remote and can be performed in DFW and Austin/San Antonio, TX.

What you will do:

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, targeting potential markets and prospective clients.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of potential new dealers, managing leads and opportunities through initial stages of the sales cycle.
  • Successfully convert leads and prospects into high-value partnerships, utilizing effective negotiation and closing strategies.
  • Develop and actively manage strategic account plans to maximize growth and ensure that key customer priorities are addressed.
  • Monitor and prepare for market trends and industry shifts; adapting our approach to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers, understanding their needs and aligning our solutions accordingly.
  • Continuously refine and optimize sales processes, methodologies, and tools to maximize overall business development effectiveness
  • Train and mentor account managers, providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to proactively seek out new business opportunities and maintain healthy pipelines of prospective new dealers.
  • Attend sales meetings and reports sales activity and new account development.
  • Utilizes digital CRM tools to ensure that account information is always current, update status of business opportunities, keep account plans current, and log account activity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure well-aligned strategies across the organization.
  • Work with internal support teams to ensure core customer support needs are met during the onboarding process.

What you will bring:

  • We are looking for an ambitious, experienced sales professional with the ability to influence and establish strong relationships.
  • Knowledge of and experience within the HVAC industry is required.
  • Must be able to travel, with occasional overnight travel required, (up to 25%).
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to:
  • DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

BASE SALARY: STARTS AT $90,000 AND UP BASED ON EXPERIENCE AND WILL INCLUDE AN INCENTIVE PLAN.
