Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 08.30-17.00 Monday to Friday, with flexibility around those hours as needed.
Location: Our office is in the heart of Wells. This role is primarily on the road, focused on visiting clients and building strong relationships through face-to-face interactions.
NFU Mutual Wells Agency is recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join its progressive team. This exciting role involves generating and nurturing new commercial leads to contribute to the continued growth and success of the business. This role is perfect if you have a passion for sales and relationship building, and are looking for an interesting and fulfilling career in the insurance industry. You do not need prior insurance experience as we will provide you with comprehensive training on all insurance products and required licenses. What is more important to us is that you have a passion for sales and an understanding of commercial environments along with the skills and attitude to provide exceptional support and service to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify businesses within our target commercial sectors, developing a sales pipeline of quality prospects to deliver the agency’s sales and growth targets.
  • Actively promote and sell our range of commercial insurance solutions, ensuring adherence to FCA requirements, sales quality, advice standards, and all other regulatory guidelines.
  • Introduce the full range of NFU Mutual products; be able to articulate the benefits of the general insurance, financial services and risk management products we provide and successfully identify where the agency can add value and expertise to prospective customers.
  • Develop your knowledge and expertise using the extensive training, support and resources available both within the agency and wider NFU Mutual.
  • Understand and reflect our company values and articulate the agency’s unique proposition, focusing on adding value and delivering service and advice.
