DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to spearhead new business initiatives and cultivate key relationships on a national level within our Laundry & Dishwasher division. This role is pivotal in driving our growth and ensuring customer satisfaction through strategic partnerships and innovative solutions.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

  • A minimum of 5 years in Business Development Management, with a proven track record in account management.
  • Strong background in negotiating contracts and understanding complex business agreements.
  • Familiarity with the laundry and dishwasher industries or sectors served by Diversey is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in numerical and IT skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce).
  • Ability to analyze financial reports and utilize data to inform decision-making.
  • Exceptional ability to influence and motivate teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial insight, with effective negotiation, communication, and listening skills.
  • Proven skills in networking and building effective relationships.
  • Ability to understand customer accounts and market trends.
  • Strong organizational and planning capabilities, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a broader sales team.
  • Act as a representative of our brand with confidence and approachability.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Development: Drive sales growth by engaging directly with end users and collaborating with dealers to promote our laundry and catering equipment.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct regular meetings with key stakeholders and decision-makers, including Operations, Health & Safety, Procurement, and Sustainability, to align on objectives and strategies.
  • Relationship Building: Forge and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, showcasing the value of Diversey’s Washcraft offerings and driving product adoption.
  • Business Reviews: Lead Quarterly Business Reviews to align account objectives, identify growth priorities, and introduce new innovations that enhance productivity, sustainability, and financial performance for both parties.
  • Customer Retention: Implement effective strategies for contract renewals and ensure the timely completion of customer tenders and proposals, prioritizing excellence in all interactions.
  • Risk Management: Maintain a comprehensive business risk profile for all accounts, proactively identifying and addressing potential challenges.
  • Onboarding and Rollout: Oversee the onboarding of new business wins, managing rollout processes alongside direct and indirect sales support to optimize customer satisfaction.
  • Route to Market Management: Utilize both direct and indirect sales approaches to effectively serve end customers, ensuring a seamless market strategy.
  • Remote Sales Tools Utilization: Promote the effective use of remote sales and service tools among the team to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Account Planning: Develop and maintain up-to-date account plans aligned with customer objectives, reviewing these regularly as part of the quarterly business process.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Field and Internal Sales Teams to ensure that account objectives are met consistently and to high standards across the customer base.
  • Account Development Coordination: Coordinate account development activities in collaboration with the Washcraft leader, Commercial Lead, and Commercial Business Partner.
