Description:

The Business Development Manager will assist in increasing sales growth and client satisfaction for Zenith. You will develop and maintain professional and strong working relationships with our existing clients and be proficient in generating leads and market to our prospect database.

TO JOIN US YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • You must have a minimum of 5 years experience in business development manager role(s), with strong knowledge in investment management, financial data collection and management, investment structures and portfolio construction
  • You will ideally have experience within a data analytics, FinTech, investment research, financial planning or a funds management organisation
  • You must be incredibly self-driven and be able to work independently
  • You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You will have a demonstrate a broad, current and credible funds management relationship network as well as platforms and paraplanning groups
  • You will have a strong reputation as a team player with demonstrable client relationship management skills and proven sales results
  • You must have strong experience in sales planning and execution across all levels of clients, including developing client collaboration initiatives, presentation delivery, price negotiation (as required)

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve personal and business budget outcomes – including new sales initiation and conversion, plus support client retention, for Zenith, Chant West, FE fundinfo’s range of investment and super research, solutions and relevant digital tools
  • Actively collaborate across the group, representing the client perspective on group initiatives, plus sourcing, qualifying and supporting conversion of client leads for others
  • Working closely with other stakeholders in the office to identify new business product and service opportunities from existing and new accounts through accurate sales planning
  • Actively maintain all client records and personal sales opportunities via the group’s CRM
  • Develop and maintain a strong reputation in our target client segments, with relevant industry knowledge and strengthening long-term “strategic relationships”
  • Developing a strong understanding and awareness of the Zenith’s group proposition to create highly targeted sales campaigns and product sales plans
  • Initiate and implement sales ideas and plans (including developing and tracking quarterly sales plans)
  • Play an active role in executing agreed client sales and marketing campaigns
  • Set and maintain highly quality activity levels with clients and other stakeholders
  • Actively maintain client database (Salesforce) to ensure rich and current client data is available for all sales and marketing activity
  • Actively provide relevant market insight and knowledge to our product and service development program
  • Focus on solution-based selling primarily into Fund Managers and financial technology providers
  • Maximising new business opportunities in existing accounts through close client contact & strategic new business campaigns
  • Delivery of a strong client service offering from presenting to closing and delivering the client sales opportunities
  • Maintain consistently high standards of professionalism and integrity in all dealings with clients, suppliers and staff (directly supporting the Group’s brand and values)
  • Set an appropriate example to others in working as part of a focused team
  • Maintain RG146 complianceProfessional representation of the Group in agreed conference and sponsored events (including organisational support) and its potential uses in the Australian/Asian markets
