Job Description Summary: What you need to know about the role: In this position, you will join a dynamic team of Zettle by PayPal Business Development Managers who focus on partnering with small to medium-sized business (SMB) merchants. Your role involves utilizing a consultative sales approach within the omni-channel space, combining your existing connections and extensive knowledge of both the payments and SaaS sectors. Your primary objective will be to win and onboard Instore-First Net New Merchants to the PayPal platform, ensuring they are equipped with the best solutions for their business needs. This role has responsibility for a London South Area. Meet our team: Our team is field-based and highly ambitious, dedicated to driving the adoption of world-class SMB solutions. We operate primarily within the South London Area, with a strong emphasis on understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by local small businesses. As a Business Development Manager, you will collaborate closely with a team of like-minded professionals who share a deep passion for supporting SMBs and helping them thrive in today’s competitive market.

Responsibilities:

  • Stimulate demand for PayPal products and services in South London by increasing awareness and credibility within small business communities.
  • Target, qualify, and close SMB single & multi-site operators in a hybrid field-based role.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local partners and existing customers to drive sales.
  • Manage the sales cycle from identifying strategic new business opportunities to closing key accounts.
  • Achieve monthly revenue targets and OKRs aligned with company objectives.
  • Actively sell Zettle/PayPal products to new SMB and Mid-Market customers
