Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Business Development Representative to join our team in Chantilly, VA.
This role will support Infrastructure Support Services business leaders and Program Managers on a number of important campaigns with the United States Government.
In this position, you will develop and maintain close strategic working relationships with these leaders and build inroads for new business opportunities for BGS. The position includes sourcing opportunities in facilities operations and maintenance services, construction services, and innovative offerings in infrastructure-related disciplines that will use new approaches and service-based business.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 3+ years of experience in presenting ideas, opportunities or concepts to management/customers in variety of forums, in both written and verbal form, regarding technical subjects
- 3+ years of experience in project planning and management, including schedule and budget development and controls
- 3+ years of experience working Government (FAR-based) procurements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Construction Management, or another related discipline
- 3+ years of experience with facilities operations management or construction management
- 5+ years of experience supporting or managing competitive USG campaigns
- 5+ years of experience in developing formal responses to customer Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI), or Market Survey
- 5+ years Business Capture experience
- PMP (or similar) Certification
- Shipley APMP Certification
- Good interpersonal, leadership, and management skills as well as relentless customer focus are critical
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years’ related work experience, Master+7 years’ related work experience, 13 years’ related work experience, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Balances the enterprise, business unit and customer goals to meet and drive Long Range Business Plan (LRBP)
- Leverages detailed understanding of both customer and Boeing needs and resources to find areas of alignment and integration
- Crafts campaign specific strategies, procures resources and secures management commitment to ensure successful execution
- Creates metrics to monitor campaign project status and budget requirements
- Integrates knowledge into business strategies and solutions
- Researches, reviews and analyzes information about competitors’ products and services to develop a comprehensive understanding (breadth and depth) of specific competitor activities and their impact on company strategy to improve our competitive Apache sustainment and training position
- Establishes a broad network of contacts and knowledge base to act as a broker of knowledge to multiple customer needs
- Establishes, maintains and expands network to address customer needs and keep lines of communication open
- Develops customer solutions by coordinating and integrating with internal and external processes and divisions to provide a competitive advantage and to foster business growth with acceptable margins
- Maintains and advances customer relationships to proactively address future needs;
- Ensures strategic alignment with the customer, Long Range Business Plan and regional and country objectives
- Challenges the Industry with off-platform offerings and comprehensive data analytics tool suites
