Responsibilities:
Overseeing a dynamic portfolio of On-Trade accounts within a designated geographical area, with a focus on outlets aligned with the business brand segmentation model.

YOUR PROFILE: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2 years full, clean driving license.

  • 0-2 years of sales experience in the FMCG sector, with a distinct advantage if experienced in alcohol sales.

  • Understanding of the Irish On-Trade, along with some commercial experience, ideally in the spirits industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding and practical knowledge of brand building, with a proven ability to execute commercial strategies.
  • Skills in influencing and negotiation, coupled with the ability to establish and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Advantageous to have experience activating brands in the On-Trade.
  • Strong grasp of balancing commercial delivery with brand-building initiatives.
  • Proficient IT skills, utilizing data for insightful interpretation and strategic planning.
  • Effective presentation skills, including experience delivering training and presentations.
  • Preferable background in bartending, mixology, or hospitality.
  • Understanding of commercial and financial acumen.
  • Holds a third-level qualification in Commerce, Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Industry-related qualification (e.g., WSET) desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE:

To enhance distribution and boost the rate of sale for a collection of globally acclaimed, award-winning spirits brands within the Irish On-Trade. This is achieved through strategic selling techniques, commercial acumen, and the implementation of activation programs in key outlets. The goal is to recruit consumers, enhance distribution and visibility, and place a strong emphasis on driving sales-out and consumer engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & CRITICAL SUCCESS MEASURES:

  • Independently manage a core set of accounts within a territory to execute the On-Trade brand building plan and activation program, incorporating initiatives like Perfect Serve, Sampling, Tailored Competitions, and Menu Presence.
  • Meet Key Performance Indicators, including Daily Call-Rate, Distribution Growth, Rate of Sale Growth, and Volume Targets.
  • Attain preferred partner status with key outlets by developing customized solutions, providing expert advice on the Spirits Category, and proposing ranges based on the Sazerac Ireland segmentation model.
  • Conduct brand training modules for trade professionals, utilizing Brand Managers and Sales Managers when necessary.
  • Record relevant outlet information through provided technology to track activation and deliver presentations.
  • Manage budgets to achieve KPI targets related to Pouring Accounts, Menu Presence, Listings, Activation, Incentives, Distribution, New Business Development (NBD) growth, and Rate of Sale (ROS) acceleration.
  • Identify opportunities through market intelligence and customer networking to target the right consumers.
  • Effectively plan and manage the workday to ensure coverage during key trading times, involving evening work and residing within reasonable traveling distance of the core area.
  • Ensure customers are equipped to serve and promote the brand to consumers, fostering a champion/ambassador role.
  • Develop strong relationships with key wholesalers.
  • Complete all administrative requirements on-time and in full.
