QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or any other related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPCM, PMP) is a plus.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in business development, program or contract management or other related field within the federal government contracting industry
- Proficiency in using contract management software applications or tools, along with a thorough understanding of project management methodologies.
- Experience managing multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information and facilitate discussions among diverse stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Ability to anticipate business challenges and proactively addresses needs with self-assuredness and business acumen
- Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to complete projects on time with precision and attention to detail.
- Ability to interact and build professional relationships while maintaining a high level of customer service, diplomacy and discretion
- Must have a comprehensive understanding of contract management principles and experience in overseeing the entire contract lifecycle, particularly within federal government contracting
- Ability to assess needs, assign priorities and develop and implement tactical and strategic plans
- Strong relationship and business development skills
- Ability to oversee project workflows, resources, and timelines to ensure successful project completion and deliverables in alignment with organizational and federal agency objectives
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at Federal Agencies, federal contract employees, and corporate staff to ensure collaboration and alignment on project goals and objectives
Responsibilities:
- Define and drive growth through customer interaction, service offerings and differentiation, and contract solution strategies.
- Analyze market trends, identify potential clients, and assess competitors to understand industry dynamics.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients through networking, referrals, and outreach campaigns.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients, ensuring strong communication and trust.
- Create white papers, presentations and proposals tailored to clients’ needs, demonstrating how the company’s services can benefit them.
- Collaborate with other teams to create effective sales strategies that align with business goals.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking meetings to build contacts and promote company capabilities and strengths.
- Engage in negotiations with potential clients to finalize contracts and secure business deals.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of business development efforts, adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Work with other departments to align business development activities with the overall strategic plan for the company.
- Prepare reports and presentations for executive management detailing progress, challenges, and opportunities in business development efforts.
- Design and maintain the project plan, alignment of resources, management to deliverable deadlines, and contract management to maintain cost control, schedule, and quality of all services and products.
- Communicate with the customer and conduct a detailed analysis to define needs and problems, and offer strategic advice and recommend solutions for improvements, optimizations, development, and maintenance efforts related to client-specific challenges and issues.
- Develop, implement, oversee, and improve as necessary those processes and procedures required to address and satisfy the Government’s contractually defined objectives while minimizing the cost, schedule, and performance risk of contract performance.
- Support technical and administrative project team(s) and execute and monitor project activities.
- Provide updates on customer and corporate issues participating in scheduled operational meetings as in routine with team leads and employees.
- Provide monthly feedback on status of work to the customer.
- Conduct quarterly program management reviews to evaluate ongoing projects by gathering project data, analyzing performance metrics, presenting reports to senior leadership, and creating and implementing action plans that are in alignment with organizational goals.
