DESCRIPTION

The Business Development Specialist, reporting to the Business Development Supervisor, is primarily a reporting and data analysis role, responsible for preparing and analyzing various reports that compile data across several areas of Kia Canada’s business (e.g. Service/Aftersales, Sales, Customer Experience, financial performance, etc.). In this role, being comfortable producing reports that involve complex data sets is a must. The incumbent will also be involved in report and data analysis to identify gaps and areas of opportunity in various sets of financial and business data.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with high level of integrity
  • Self-starter, results driven
  • Advanced Excel skills required (Pivot Table, ability to perform complex calculations and data analysis)
  • Experienced in other MS Office programs: Word and PowerPoint
  • Advanced data analytical skills and Power BI (or similar database system) an asset
  • 3 to 5 years of automotive experience or related an asset
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute reports on deadline with high level of accuracy
  • Prepare and analyze reports based on current business requirements and work with BD Supervisor to help identify trends and opportunities
  • Support evaluation of dealer performance and follow up with regional staff on dealer progress and action plans
  • Support system access for regional and dealer staff to the various Business Development systems, including eComposite, eContact, ePlan and CFI
  • Kia Dealer Excellence Program (K-DEP) survey support (tracking & follow-up with regional staff)
  • Assist with supporting the Kia dealer network with their Financial Statement submissions (including errors and omissions as well as quarterly audits)
  • Work directly with vendors (NCM, S&P and Optimum) on system updates and enhancements, including user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Prepare Purchase Requisition Forms, dealer statement transactions, process monthly invoices and administer budget tracking
  • Support Kia Electric Vehicle (EV) certification program tracking, charger distribution and dealer status
  • Support Dealer Development team by producing presentation materials (dealer performance data, market share, etc.)
  • Prepare and issue program letters, bulletins and dealer announcements as required
  • Assistance with optimizing reporting through experience with various systems / tools like Excel, Power BI, etc. to optimize reporting processes
  • Prepare various additional ad hoc reports as requested by Dealer Development and Customer Experience leadership team
