We are looking for an experienced, driven Business Development Specialist, with proven experience in the electrical field industry. who has a passion for sales and loves what they do.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong technical electrical knowledge of industrial and commercial environments.
- 5 years of direct work experience in the electrical industry in a sales capacity.
- Experience in all aspects of sales including quoting, growth strategies, distribution channel management, account development and business planning.
- Proficient with Microsoft office, Teams, calendars. Experience in ERP systems, specifically Epicor is an asset.
- Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge of cost analysis, fiscal management and budgeting techniques.
- Capable of creating and editing sales materials and presentations.
- Able to conduct presentations and meetings.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
- Skilled at building and maintaining lasting relationships with other departments, key business partners and clients.
- Must have a valid class 5 BC driver’s license.

Responsibilities:
SUMMARY OF WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As the primary point of contact for our customers, you will be responsible for actively driving sales revenue, customer engagement and related sales targets, with a focus on building new relationships with potential clients while also nurturing the relationship with existing customers. This position is key in developing and executing strategic selling of short term and large account plans that align with the strategic direction of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the efforts and activities of field service sales in alignment with corporate budget goals and objectives.
- Analyze the effectiveness of field service sales programs; recommend and implement changes based on findings. Monitor records and reports – including order progress and fulfillment – to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Perform regular follow-ups with accounts regarding active and closed opportunities as well as upcoming projects.
- Develop, prepare, and deliver sales materials, conference appearances, and other promotional programs.
- Assist the General Manager in the development of strategic plans for the sales function; administer practices and procedures to enhance operations.
- Assist in annual budget planning.
- Maintain contracts and relations with major accounts, outlets, wholesalers, vendors, and other distributors/business partners.
- Develop and implement distribution strategies, reselling agreements, and other growth opportunities.
- Assist with preparing & finalizing proposals.
- Provide input for the overall collaboration of strategic and tactical planning processes.
- Conduct sales forecasts and monthly status reports.
- Travelling 25% - 50% across B.C.
- Attending site visits for industrial plants, mines and mills as well as commercial properties.
