ABOUT THIS JOB

To bring our ALiCE® protein production platform to market, we are looking for a seasoned Business Development or Strategic Account Manager to ensure key accounts are managed and developed into strong customer relationships by ensuring the delivery of exceptional service and solutions. The Strategic Account Manager will play a critical role in driving business growth by identifying opportunities to expand our presence with existing customers and ensuring customer satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS

This job will suit you best if you

  • have 10+ years’ industry experience in Biotechnology or life science
  • own a B.Sc. in molecular biology, biochemistry or other related areas combined with business, finance, marketing. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus
  • have a strong customer focus. You demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction and maintain a customer-first mentality.
  • show an urgency to drive progress, ensuring LenioBio captures opportunities within the relevant timeframe and delivers high-quality solutions on time.
  • have a good market understanding. You bring the natural curiosity to self-explore market trends, collecting industry news and utilize this to align our approach to customers.
  • are able to develop and implement effective account strategies that align with business goals and business models that will secure larger deals or commitment from customers.
  • are a problem-solving person and identify issues and implement solutions quickly and effectively.
  • have excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. You articulate ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • like to work with internal teams to achieve common goals and deliver outstanding results.
  • you have a solid understanding of how to drive profitable business by determining the market value of the solutions offered to the customer.
  • are open to travel 30% of your time.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for a wide range of strategic topics:

Account Management:

  • Account Management
  • Manage, nurture and expand relationships with key strategic accounts.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer and accounts business needs and objectives and relate this to the individual customer’s goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand services and solutions within existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop account strategies and achieve sales targets.
  • Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to drive revenue growth.

Customer Relationship Building

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Conduct regular customer meetings to review performance, address concerns, and explore new opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing insights and recommendations to support their business objectives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams (e.g., marketing, product development, application support) to ensure the successful delivery of solutions and services.
  • Provide feedback and insights to internal teams to improve products, services, and customer experience.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

  • Track and analyze account performance metrics to ensure targets are met.
  • Prepare regular reports on account status, progress, and forecasts for senior management.
  • Utilize CRM software to maintain accurate records of customer interactions and activities.
