WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for someone with the following experience, qualifications and /or skillsets:

• Bachelor of Engineering (Industrial)

Advantageous

• Master of Engineering Legal Requirements (e.g., Driver’s License etc.) Detail
• SA institute for Industrial Engineering – advantageous
• Engineering Council of SA – advantageous
• Business Engineer – 3+ years Advantageous
• Experience in a business process environment

Design and implementation of the Industrial Engineering methodologies

• Design and implementation of key methodologies to support engineering projects.
• Development of policies and processes to guide project designs and implementations.
• Development and implementation of all templates, tools and frameworks to support engineering projects.

Mentoring

• Mentoring and coaching of a team member
• Guide and monitor the performance of a team member.

Programme Management

• Review company requirements and plans and align engineering projects to strategy.
• Identify potential projects that would support the strategic objectives of the company. Creation of project register and design project calendar.
• Assign relevant projects across the team.
• Assess project statuses to ensure that all deliverables are on track and adjust as required.
• Liaise with key stakeholders across the business to identify potential risks, opportunities for improvement and problems.
• Provide input and support on the achievement of the objectives and budget as per project.

Project Management

• Review and establish business requirements per assigned project.
• Plan, define and implement scope of work and deliverables in line with project planning and development of the project plan.
• Define the project resources from inception to close out.
• Design the key project deliverables, project implementation plan and charter plan and obtain sign off.
• Scheduling and management of tasks and activities of the project administrators.

Managing construction schedule and activities.

• Manage and monitor the performance and deliverables of the professional team.
• Manage timeframe, costs and resources needed to deliver a project whilst coordinating with stakeholder relation, enterprise development, project planning and facilitation.
• Execute projects to achieve the agreed technical objectives within the agreed timeframes, and specifications.
• Identification of project risks and resolve if practical or escalate as required.
• Utilize project management best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
• Manage change management throughout the project.

Business Analysis

• Defining business needs/ requirements.
• Translation of the requirements into the technical specifications.
• Liaison between project sponsor and technical team.
• Understanding of system functions to identify potential solutions design.

Business Process Reengineering

• Defining of business processes (SOP’s and diagrams).
• Analysis and redesign/ optimise business processes.
• Implementation of business optimisation changes.
• Digitisation and automation of processes.

Data Engineering

• Defining processes and systems for the capturing, storage, integration, and movement of data.
• Oversee the data lifecycle from capturing, ETL process, data-warehousing, data preparation for analytical and machine learning purposes.

Data Science

• Take a scientific approach using mathematical and statistical methodologies to conduct analyses.
• Creation and deployment of machine learning algorithms.
• Oversee and manage the entire data science lifecycle including identification of requirements and translation into, and implementation of, data science models.

Business Intelligence

• Reporting and visualisation of data through dashboards and reports.
• Preparation of data for reporting.
• Providing of insights into data analysed.

Research and Innovation

• Researching innovative technologies and solutions to solve problems and improve the business.

The successful canndidate will start on 01 November 2024.
