Description:

  • Develops, maintains and updates short and long-term financial models, annual budget models and rolling quarterly forecast models, including presentation of assumptions and validation of inputs.
  • Turns complex data into easy-to-understand visual insights that are aligned to the business objectives.
  • Develops insightful analysis that identifies opportunities and risks to the budget and most current forecast by identifying key drivers of variances.
  • Support the continuous development of innovative financial technology solutions to optimize performance (e.g., PowerBi, Alteryx, Power Query).
  • Acts as a business partner to management and other stakeholders, providing insight into a wide range of business and financial decisions.
  • Translate business needs into dashboards, with a specific understanding of how customer requirements turn into easy-to-use dashboard solutions.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of effective internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure compliance with internal and external policies.
  • Assist with strategic and cost management initiatives undertaken by the Controlling team.
  • Be an integral part of the SAP-Hana implementation team to document solutions, SAP configuration and program modifications to ensure effective rollout of the new ERP system.
  • Participate in business activities and support with the development of the business in accordance with the overall strategy and targets.

What you will bring along

  • University degree in a related field (accounting, finance, business administration).
  • CPA designation considered an asset.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of related experience in financial planning & analysis roles.
  • Experience in creating reports using PowerBi and/or other systems.
  • Confident with writing and reading SQL on intermediate to complex queries.
  • Experience using large ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) as well as financial planning software such as Adaptive Insights, Vena, BOARD, Prophix, Oracle Hyperion Planning etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and work well with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work as part of an integrated, broad team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills.
