Description:
Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.
Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Business Information Management Analyst to join our client.
Contract Dates: 12 months
Pay Range: $84 to $96.39 per hour
Business Hours: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Job Responsibilities:
- Eliciting business requirements from stakeholders and turning these into data/technical requirements for further implementation by technology groups
- Independently analyze data currently available for consumption from central repositories and flag gaps requiring further resolution and/or enhancements. Articulate findings to relevant business and technology groups and recommend next steps in the implementation cycle
- Identifying and escalating issues to the appropriate individual(s)/group(s) to ensure prompt attention/resolution
- Use negotiation and influencing skills to build consensus amongst diverse stakeholder groups to ensure deliverables are met by agreed upon timelines
- Maintain clear project documentation required to stay in compliance with Change Delivery methodologies followed by the organization
Experience & Qualification Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in business requirement gathering, analysis, business process modeling and documentation within the financial and/or IT industry
- Solid understanding of financial products - risk factors inherent to each product class, trade/reference data attributes needed to calculate market value and risk measures
- Prior experience working as a business analyst/SME for trading system implementations, platform upgrades and/or major regulatory initiatives involving large data sets
- Well versed in SQL, Python, Excel applied towards data analysis and normalization of large data sets with distinct data models
- Prior experience working with JSON formatted data - ability to extract/parse utilizing API’s
- Able to remain energized, productive and focused in the face of challenges, ambiguity, change or strenuous demands
- Strong working knowledge with project management tools, such as, Confluence, JIRA
- Demonstrates superior inter-personal skills, conflict resolution, and negotiating skills
- Flexible and able to quickly adapt to unfamiliar, ambiguous or changing conditions
- Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects as and when required
