Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
The Department of Business and Office Administration requires a part-time sessional instructor from December 30, 2024 – May 2, 2025. Areas of instruction include a Culinary Arts course within the Business Administration Diploma program with an emphasis in Hospitality Management.
The successful candidate will have a relevant completed industry trade qualification in a related field with industry experience in the field of Culinary Arts. Teaching and research experience at the post-secondary level is an asset. Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include:
- Candidates must be able to apply different instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with different learning styles;
- Knowledge of NWP courses and current educational technologies commonly found in classrooms (e.g., videoconferencing, D2L) are desired;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
- Student Focused;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills;
- Ability to build strong relationships across the organization; and
- A high level of integrity, professionalism and accountabilit
