We’re BioSyent Pharma and we’re looking for an ambitious Business Intelligence Analyst to join our BI team in our Mississauga office. This is an entry level job.
As our BI Analyst, you are comfortable thinking outside the box and have the drive to help take our BI department to the next level. You are proficient at manipulating, analyzing and interpreting large data sets. You are fully capable of identifying recommendations to Business Unit Heads and will get an opportunity to present your work to senior leadership, thereby seeing your fingerprints on our success.

Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain and improve existing Tableau dashboards to allow for immediate insight and analysis by management
- Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports to support business needs.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand reporting needs.
- Create and maintain documentation related to Tableau dashboards and reports.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance data visualization and reporting capabilities.
- Provide training and support to users on Tableau functionality and best practices.
- Prepare Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Commercial Activity Reports; constantly improving both the report content for greater commercial impact and reporting process for efficiency
- Act as a partner with the business units troubleshooting both day-to-day and high-level strategic problems
- Provide management with actionable insights based on in-depth analysis of the commercial and competitive environments for brands in all stages of the lifecycle (i.e. pre-launch, growth, and mature markets)
- Actively engage with internal /external teams to streamline and standardize existing processes by identifying and developing opportunities to increase efficiencies
- Interpret requests from management (i.e. “wants”) and deliver necessary outputs (i.e. “needs”)
- Work closely with the sales force team to provide training and support with data interpretation, as well as resolve data enquiries and troubleshoot related problems
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and offer creative suggestions for alternative designs and methods
- Evaluate new projects and business challenges and design practical, attainable solutions
- Track and document post implementation benefits and key objective measurement
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from internal peers and leaders
- Be the liaison between the business units and external support teams
- Create tools (in Tableau and Excel) to help the operations teams manage day-to-day responsibilities
- Modeling of forecasts and budget preparation
- Assist the Finance and Accounting department
- Additional ad-hoc reports and analysis as require
