Description:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role, with a focus on financial data
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and data visualization software like Tableau and PowerBI
  • Intermediate Excel skills (VBA, power query) and proficiency in the Microsoft O365 suite
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Hybrid: Ability to work at least 3 days per week onsite at one of the following Boston Scientific sites: Marlborough, MA; Arden Hills, MN; Maple Grove, MN

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree or certification in business analytics or a related field
  • Understanding of data tools and programming languages (SQL, Python)
  • Experience with big data platforms and technologies like Snowflake and AWS
  • Basic understanding of Finance Reporting Systems (Oracle Hyperion/EPM Cloud) or SAP

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Finance team is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst II for the newly established Global HQ FinOps team as part of our global finance innovation initiative, Finance Forward. This position will play a key role in executing the strategy to drive sustainable improvements across our financial processes and capabilities to scale for future growth. This person will help develop standardized reporting & analytics focused on supporting Corporate and Divisional Financial Planning & Analysis groups. The individual will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to define, develop, and operationalize future-state reporting and advanced analytics to drive insights for the organization.
This is a hybrid position (3 days onsite) with the flexibility to be located at either our MA or MN Boston Scientific locations. You will have the opportunity to discuss your preferred working location with your Talent Acquisition Specialist.
The Business Intelligence Analyst II will report to the Senior Manager, Global Finance Innovation within the transformation office team. This position has a high degree of collaboration amongst the Finance Forward team, as well as interaction with corporate and divisional financial planning & analysis teams. The culture of the team is to work as a group, being flexible and willing to jump into the broader team responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, test, implement, and maintain financial reports and dashboards that provide insight into financial performance
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert on financial systems, centralized and standardized reporting
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance stakeholders, and the internal team to evolve and expand our Global Finance Data Domain along with development and management of reporting and analytics solutions
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing data-driven insights
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all financial reporting
  • Create and maintain documentation including design, requirements, and user training
