What will you do?
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Business Intelligence Analyst will play a crucial role in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights and drive informed decision-making across various departments within the organization. The position requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of business processes and objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with various departments within the organization to understand business requirements, gather data, analyze insights, and provide actionable recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Support data migration, data transformation, and data cleansing of structured and unstructured data.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through regular validation and troubleshooting of discrepancies.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, ensuring accuracy, usability, and real-time insights.
  • Communicate findings, present insights, and provide regular updates on key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics to support strategic planning and decision making at the executive level.
  • Collaborate with team members to analyze data, identify trends, and develop insights that drive business outcomes and achieve project goals.
  • Provide training and support to internal users, including executives, managers, and frontline staff, on how to use BI tools, interpret data visualizations, and leverage analytics insights effectively. Ensure that users have the necessary skills and knowledge to make informed decisions based on data.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics and business intelligence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3 years’ experience working as a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with API integration (PowerShell, REST APIs) is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certifications in business intelligence or data analytics (e.g., CBIP, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) are considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency to apply knowledge of grammar, punctuation, structure, spelling, tone, proofreading, clarity, and organization.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
