Location: Cambridge UK / Hybrid – Two days a week in office.
Contract: Permanent – Full time 35 hours per week
We are looking for a Business Intelligence & Data Performance Analyst to join our Data & Performance Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be creating and implementing new reporting and data solutions to support the operations department. This role plays a vital part in allowing the Operations Teams to be part of the ongoing change that our organisation is going through but will also enable the Operations Team to continue to deliver results to the high standards that our customers are used to.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who is willing to see the big picture and someone that is comfortable with detail. You will need to get buy-in from different stakeholders and audiences so strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills are key as well as:

  • Experience with Excel, Power BI, SQL, PowerApps, and PowerAutomate
  • Strong IT skills and version control competency
  • Analytical, prioritization, problem-solving, and negotiating skills
  • Understanding of processes affecting strategic initiatives
  • Complex modelling and statistical analysis for decision-making
  • Proven performance enhancement and tracking tools delivery
  • Process implementation from conception with minimal support
  • Detail-oriented and capable of self-driven study and innovation
  • Clear communication of technical information to all levels

It would be desirable with experience in:

  • Basic Python experience (particularly with the pandas and PySpark libraries)
  • Knowledge of using Hue, Hadoop
  • Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ or demonstrated experience in successful delivery of a range of projects working in a data analysis role
  • Proven proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senior Process Improvement Analyst, the purpose of this role is the provision and analysis of data on key operational and business activities to support the delivery of operational services, demand planning and the development of new business intelligence tools and data solutions for use in the business. You will work with operational colleagues to provide performance information against key operational business targets and analysis of data so teams can make informed decisions.

  • To generate and analyse information for key operational and business activities for the Operations Division and to provide relevant, accurate and timely business intelligence information.
  • To develop and deliver low or no-cost Process Improvement solutions through utilisation of automation tools such as Power Automate, PowerApps, SharePoint and other M365 applications for Operations and the wider organisation,
  • To work closely with operational colleagues, gaining a thorough understanding of business processes and operations to identify information needs and gains in data efficacy.
  • To be involved with large scale change delivery projects to support reporting and data access to end users.
  • To establish and develop best practices in the presentation and delivery of information and to identify and implement the most appropriate means to manage information.
  • Ensure that the creation of dashboards is fit for purpose, provides full visibility, and to streamline production of data for routine reports.
  • The role may cover data sourcing, reporting, analysis and presentation of information from end to end in delivery cycles. This involves requirements gathering, design, data sourcing and cleansing, testing and realization as well as analysis and analysis.
