Description:

Position Title: Business Intelligence FP&A Lead
Location: London, UK – Hybrid

Salary: DOE

  • Working Rhythm: Our standard working hours are 9 am-5:30 pm UK time, with a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, but flexibility is encouraged to meet personal needs and productivity, with occasional longer hours for deadlines or urgent projects

Contract Type: Permanent, full-time
Reporting To: Chief Finance Officer (CFO)
Start Date: As soon as possible

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a business intelligence or similar role, ideally in a fast-growth company environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of BI stack, data architecture, SQL, and Power BI; experience with other tools like Tableau or Looker is a plus.
  • Data Visualization Skills: Proficiency in designing impactful dashboards with a focus on user experience, with a portfolio demonstrating your expertise.
  • Adaptability: Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage changing priorities effectively.
  • Financial Qualifications (Optional): ACA, ACCA, or CIMA certification (or equivalent) is a big plus, though not essential.
  • Industry Experience (Optional): Prior experience in the education or ed-tech sector is beneficial but not required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead BI Solution Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust BI solutions, ensuring data models are accurate, high-performing, and adaptable to evolving business needs.
  • Manage ETL Processes: Develop and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to consolidate financial data from multiple sources, ensuring timely and high-quality data delivery.
  • Cross-Departmental Analytics Support: Serve as the primary liaison for reporting and analytics needs across all departments, including product, academics, sales, marketing, and finance.
  • Implement Data Governance: Establish data governance strategies to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with university policies and privacy regulations.
  • Create Data Visualizations: Build intuitive dashboards and compelling data visualizations to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Develop Financial Models & Forecasts: Support revenue growth and pricing strategies through the creation of financial models and forecasts aligned with business goals.
  • Financial Forecasting & Reporting: Provide detailed financial reports to leadership, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Provide FP&A finance support to the accounting teams related to productivity, demand planning, reporting, and metrics in a timely manner.
  • Identify and understand business challenges; propose and create solutions.
  • Partner directly with the finance team and central FP&A groups to collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews.
  • Work on corporate projects and initiatives that impact the entire organization
