Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehouse and reporting. They will be responsible for leading a team of Business Analysts and Report Developers tasked with generating insights required to make strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of Analyst and Developers.
  • Negotiate with vendors and contractors to secure products and services.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of current operational procedures.
  • Communicate topics and concepts to the team and a diverse audience.
  • Ability to handle multiple overlapping projects and competing deadlines within the team.
  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and communication skills within the team.
  • Coordinate relations with and serve as a liaison between business and IT users.
  • Continually assess work progress and recommend changes which drive operational excellence.
  • Participate in project planning, estimation, and risk management activities.
  • Ensure data integrity, system performance, and scalability of reporting environments.
  • Develop short-term and long-term department goals which support long-term strategic goals.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the department.
  • Develop career plans for the team members and recommend training and development areas.
  • Ensure the quality of work produced by the team is acceptable based on established standards.
  • Ensure the coordination and communication of production changes.
  • Participate in preparations for annual departmental budget.
  • Provide periodic employee performance reviews.
  • Hold team accountable for meeting IT quality of work standards.

Compensation $150,000 - 170,000

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business (or Management), Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline is required.
  • Experience in the Distribution Industry preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical role, or minimum of 3 years of experience in management role.
  • Experience with database management systems, including SQL Server.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience in managing and mentoring technical teams.
  • Fulltime position (40 hours a week)
