JOB DESCRIPTION
U.S. Bank has an excellent opportunity for a Business Line Senior Risk Manager. The Senior Risk Manager is responsible for oversight of key enterprise risk programs for the Risk Management and Compliance (RM&C) Business Line and will work closely with RM&C teams, other business line risk teams and the 2nd line of defense program owners.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree or equivalent work experience
- Typically, more than 15 years of applicable experience
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Understanding of U.S. Bank risk programs and oversight responsibilities.
- Strong leadership and management skills of processes, projects and people
- Effective change manager. Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint/Excel/Word)
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines
- Ability to collaborate with others in owning deliverables
- Ability to train and motivate team members

Responsibilities:
JOB FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure RM&C, as a business line, is in compliance with key operational risk and compliance risk programs such as Issue Management, Third Party Risk Management, Risk Control Self- Assessment (RCSA), Business Line Quality Assurance, Regulatory Change Management, Policy Management and a variety of other risk programs.
- Responsible for RM&C’s quarterly SOX certification process.
- Responsible for the design and development risk reporting for RM&C leadership.
- Manage a team of risk professionals.
