As a Business Manager - IB & Wholesale Credit Risk – Vice President/Associate in the Risk Management and Compliance team, you will optimize business performances by helping to drive key strategic initiatives. You act as independent, trusted advisor and counterweight to Risk Leads and are responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. The role of a business manager is dynamic and can vary from business to business, in line with the priorities of the different lines of business.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous product knowledge and/or prior Business Management or COO experience
  • Energetic and dynamic in style with a high degree of flexibility
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills to manage competing demands
  • Able to forge strong internal relationships across a broad range of functions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to both define and deliver a strategic agenda
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to analyse large data sets and present conclusions concisely
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail with logical thought process

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Counterparty Credit Risk Executive for Wholesale Credit Risk on strategic direction and decision making while supporting the day-to-day operations of the global group
  • Support the implementation of new business strategies, initiatives or platforms and provide a high level of response to time critical ad hoc requests related to project management, presentation development and business analysis
  • Conduct financial planning and analysis, identifying productivity initiatives and drive implementation to meet budgeting targets (e.g. through headcount and org structure planning)
  • Optimize ‘bottom line’ performance by supporting and/or driving key initiatives (e.g. transformation and change management, location strategy)
  • Identify, escalate and mitigate business or operational risks that could impair our ability to do business (e.g. legal, tax, regulatory, capacity issues, compliance, operational, resiliency)Partner with Business, Middle Office, Technology, Finance and other strategic partners in the definition of future workflows and implementation of related projects
