SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive experience in multi-site retail operational management, ideally overseeing more than 100-line personnel.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, cost control, rostering, cost analysis, and resource management across multiple sites.
  • Strong numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to comprehend technical and equipment-related issues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional planning, organising, time management, and implementation skills in multi-site operations.
  • Competence in situation analysis and decision-making.
  • Thorough understanding of human resource management principles, including performance management, industrial relations, equal opportunity, and OH&S legislation.
  • Effective delegation skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities across all organisational levels and representing the company externally.
  • Consistent client liaison skills to maintain and enhance the company’s reputation.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position entails the functional responsibility for overseeing the overall and strategic operations of car park sites within the State and Territory portfolios. It includes being on call to address critical issues and providing support for Senior Operations personnel 24/7.
The role serves as the primary conduit for information, reporting, and implementation of directives between the General Manager of Operations Clients and senior operations personnel.
The purpose of this role is to provide leadership, guidance, and direction to area operations managers and their teams, enabling them to perform effectively and efficiently. This will be achieved through daily close liaison with direct reports, confirming requirements and progress against specific plans. Additionally, the role involves formal meetings with key group members, following a structured agenda, and resulting in documented issues and actions.
