Location: University Park Nursing & Rehab, Des Moines, IA

Overview: University Park Nursing & Rehabilitation, a facility under the management of Campbell Street Senior Living, is seeking a highly organized and experienced Business Office Manager to join our team. This leadership role is crucial to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the business office, focusing on billing, payroll, and administrative tasks. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Billing & Accounts: Manage the billing process for residents, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. Handle any insurance verification, follow-up, and collections as needed.
- Payroll: Process payroll, ensuring accurate timekeeping and compliance with facility policies.
- Records Management: Maintain accurate financial records and assist in preparing reports for leadership.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to leadership and staff, handling paperwork and documentation related to employee onboarding, payroll, and patient admissions.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial processes comply with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
- Budget Management: Work closely with leadership to track budgets and financial projections.
- Customer Service: Foster positive relationships with staff, patients, families, and insurance providers.
- Vendor Communication: Communicate with third-party vendors to resolve billing or insurance issues.
Education & Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a business office or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of billing, insurance, and payroll processes.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, residents, and families.
- Certifications: Any certifications related to healthcare administration or financial management are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and work at a desk for extended periods.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to type on a computer keyboard and handle paperwork.
- Occasional lifting of office supplies or files (up to 25 lbs).
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via email.
