BUSINESS OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE
At Shakepay, the Business Operations ("BizOps") team plays a critical role in keeping our company’s engine running smoothly and efficiently. We work on cross-functional initiatives that span multiple functions. The BizOps team is responsible for identifying and executing on high-impact projects to drive growth, improve processes, and ensure we continue delivering an exceptional experience to over one million Canadians using Shakepay. We’re problem-solvers who thrive in fast-paced environments, constantly seeking new ways to help Shakepay scale effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Documentation & presentations: You’ll regularly produce internal documentation and external-facing materials, translating complex ideas into concise, structured content
- Process optimization & automation: Evaluate existing workflows and lead process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and remove bottlenecks
- Systems & training: Implement or optimize systems, tools, and processes that enhance operational capabilities. You’ll also train and support teams on best practices, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
- Market research & data analysis: Investigate market trends, competitive landscapes, and potential growth opportunities while analyzing internal key metrics
- Special projects: Lead ad-hoc initiatives and act as the “Swiss Army knife” for tackling high-priority challenges, from firefighting to strategic problem-solving
