Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are searching for a highly experienced Action Officer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will support an ARPA-H Mission Office Director in their day-to-day execution of projects and activities. This will involve anticipating and solving for a broad range of financial, business, administrative, and/or program management problems. Must have good rapport at dealing with the public, customer service expertise, excellent oral/written communication skills, and excellent organizational & time-management skills. Other example duties may include:

  • Developing, organizing, forecasting, and maintaining financial budgets and tracking financial milestones.
  • Creating and coordinating budget and, acquisition documents.
  • Planning and executing process improvement projects.
  • Organizing meetings.
  • Developing briefings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Interacting with multiple internal and external personnel with excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills on a daily basis.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting federal programs, preferably in the R&D or technical environment.
  • Experience monitoring deliverables, allocating resource needs, and project workplans.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and a passion for scientific discovery.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required per contract.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience supporting federal or commercial health agency/organization is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the biomedical research landscape a plus.
