Description:
Location: Hybrid - Burlington, Ontario
Compensation: $65,500 - $76,000 annually

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a retail or eCommerce environment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems, logistics software, and financial management tools.
- Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and online retail best practices is an asset.

Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE:
The Business Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of the Relief Collective’s operations, including inventory management, logistics, customer service, and financial administration. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the charity shop, optimizing processes to maximize revenue generation and support for Islamic Relief Canada’s humanitarian efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations Management
- Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures for the day-to-day operations of the RC
- Oversee inventory management, including procurement, stock control, and quality assurance.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and merchandise.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demand and minimize excess stock.
- Implement measures to optimize warehouse layout and organization for improved efficiency.
Logistics and Distribution
- Oversee shipping and fulfillment operations, including order processing, packaging, and delivery.
- Negotiate contracts with shipping carriers and logistics partners to ensure cost-effective and reliable services.
- Address any issues or delays in shipping and delivery processes to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Customer Service
- Oversee customer service operations, including responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and handling returns and exchanges.
- Implement strategies to enhance the customer experience and foster positive relationships with supporters and customers.
- Monitor customer feedback and satisfaction metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Financial Administration
- Manage financial transactions and reporting for the Relief Collective, including revenue tracking, expense management, and budgeting.
- Work closely with the financial service providers to ensure accurate accounting and financial compliance.
- Analyze sales data and financial performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for revenue growth.
Team Leadership
- Manage and oversee the work of the RC team in support of all of the above
- Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
