Join our team of Professional Research Administrators!
Sponsored Programs Administration seeks a Senior Grants and Contracts Administrator to join our team. This position focuses on pre-award grant/contract activities using a career progression plan for measurable success and advancement opportunities.
Principle duties include reviewing grant and external funding proposals, providing excellent service to all customers, and collaborating with internal university units and external sponsors to finalize grants, contracts, and other sponsored agreements.
In this role, you will regularly:
- Collaborate with university college and division departmental staff on the preparation of grant and contract proposals to be submitted to external sponsors, serving in a central administrative role.
- Review completed proposals to ensure they have met all internal and external requirements prior to submission.
- Complete submission documentation for proposals and awards.
- Work with external sponsors and internal university compliance offices and university counsel to establish the terms and conditions of grants and contracts.
- Complete the internal administrative set up of the grants and contracts in the financial system for the university.
- Provide a high level of customer service in answering questions and gathering information.
- Develop and foster internal and external customer relationships.
- Possess the ability to cooperate and contribute in a team environment, as well as successfully work individually with limited oversight.
You should possess good professional judgment, a strong work ethic, and be able to appropriately prioritize project deadlines in a self-directed environment. In addition, you should have strong problem solving and organizational skills, excellent customer service skills, a collaborative nature, and be able to manage priorities and meet deadlines. Strong Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat skills, as well as strong written and oral communication skills, are required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Research Administration experience is desirable. Strong analytical skills, budget preparation/grant preparation experience a plus.
