- $121,000 base + super + NFP salary packaging
An exciting opportunity for a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner to join our team of passionate good humans as we work towards enhancing the lives of the people we support.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Lead, Health, Safety & Wellbeing this role is responsible for implementing organisational Health, Safety & Wellbeing strategies at a site level, while also developing and delivering site specific strategies. You will work collaboratively with service delivery Leadership to ensure compliance is maintained with our Management System standards and regulatory / legislative requirements and ensure we are embedding a safety conscious culture. Operating as a true business partner, you will relish the opportunity to travel to site on a regular basis to engage with leaders and employees and really understand their challenges, creating learning opportunities from issues and incidents to enable them to perform more effectively.
You will be responsible for;
- Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) - Complying with, and promoting all safety policies, procedures, and safe systems of work. Demonstrating and driving safe behaviours by applying a risk-based approach, providing clear direction, setting and enforcing standards and supporting the delivery of on-site focus topics to promote employee engagement with HS&W.
- Safety Leadership - Embed a strong safety culture across site operations through the application of HSW Behaviours and the establishment of a learning culture to reduce risk and prevent injury and illness.
- Audits /Compliance - Ensure site compliance is delivered and maintained. Lead onsite implementation of Affords internal and external audit program to ensure Self-Insurance accreditation is maintained.
- Risk Management - Implement Risk Management procedures for site(s) to ensure risks are identified, assessed accurately, and controlled to an acceptable standard. Ensure risks associated with workplace change are successfully managed at site. Ensure risk management processes are embedded at a local level through the development and delivery of training to support on-site processes.
- Incident Reporting and Investigation - complete timely, high quality incident investigations, including promoting accountability for corrective action completions / risk management. Support Managers and teams with lessons learnt to prevent incident recurrence.
