Description:
POSITION
We are looking for a Business Planning Manager to take on a business partnership role working closely with functions and countries the South Asia zone to support and drive business objectives.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience in retail environment preferred.
- Commercial and business partnership mindset.
- Hands-on, independent and resourceful. Analytical and detail oriented.
- Sound technical and financial knowledge and exposure in accounting standards (IFRS).
- Advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills. Knowledge in SAP/BW/Power BI is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication ability.
- Highly agile and adaptable. Able to deal with ambiguity and stress and work within tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Regional role supporting 10 markets. Direct market review scope of some markets along with functional responsibility.
- Support zone budget construction, consolidation and review processes.
- Meet monthly reporting and budget timelines. Ensure reporting is accurate, consistent with Group/local requirements.
- Explanation of financial variances against budget and prior periods. Monitor financial performance and other key indicators, highlighting trends and unexpected variances.
- Work closely with markets to deliver timely and accurate reporting with variance commentary.
- Analysis of sales performance including weekly report - highlight trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Monitor and track competitor performance (sales trends, network changes, key events, etc.)
- Review investment requests prepared by the team, ensure alignment with Group requirements.
- Support rollout of Group changes in reporting and policy changes.
- Partner with functions to improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies or improvements.
- Ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
