Description:

- Experience as a business analyst providing business process analysis and requirements for software solutions
- Experience engaging business users to gather business requirements, interpret discussions, identify unresolved issues, and asking clarifying questions to drive conversations to actionable conclusion
- Demonstrated ability to extract and understand information on complex processes as they are being discussed with business users
- Experience designing and creating process flow diagrams, use case diagrams, and other graphical diagrams to aid in the understanding of the current state
- Demonstrated ability to comprehend business concepts and evaluate business processes to provide root cause analysis reports detailing inefficiencies and recommended improvements.
- Strong multi-tasking skills involving the specific ability to work on multiple projects or project assignments
- Strong problem-solving skills, including anticipating issues and implementing solutions
- Ability to work effectively independently and as a member of a high performing team
- Excellent oral and written communications skills; active listening skills

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Vice President for Information Technology is seeking an experienced business process analyst to work within the Project Management Office. This team manages business requests received from the university for Information Technology resources. These requests often initiate new projects and some are centrally led by the CIO-PMO staff members. This position’s role includes defining and documenting the current business processes, identifying and understanding the users’ needs, and analyzing, defining and documenting detailed business requirements for new solutions or improvements to the existing processes. The goal of the Project Management Office is to improve efficiency and optimize processes across campus, while also providing effective resolution to business problems. This office is an integral part of the Information Technology service organization, providing support and services to a wide variety of departments across campus.

- Stakeholder Communication: Develop and deliver communications to stakeholders regarding process improvements and changes.
