A Day in the Life
As an EMEA Business Process Improvement Manager, you will be a member of the Global Regions Pricing and Contracting Team. In this team we are focused on customers, employees, patients, and our commitment to the Medtronic mission to alleviate pain, restore health and extend life.
Your main responsibility as the EMEA Business Process Improvement Manager is to aid in integration of our contracting strategy into an end-to-end process with supporting teams and system(s) to ensure interoperability & scalability to maximize value creation. You will understand our contracting strategy and system maturity. Based on the usage/maturity matrix you will collaborate with functional leaders and operating units to help develop a multi-phased road map to drive transformation and harmonization of the processes and systems to support our journey. In your daily role, you will be responsible for leading the transformation of Offer & Contract Development Processes. You are looked to by your peers as the go-to leader for any consulting needed around offer development. In this role, you will provide insights that influence leadership decisions by developing and leveraging pricing and contracting systems based on your knowledge of systems and processes within Medtronic.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Support the EMEA Offer & Contract Development Transformational Journey. Based on your offer development knowledge, you will be a leader driving change within the organization, you will be participating in workshops to harmonize, standardize and modernize our Offer & Contract Development Processes in EMEA .
- You will aid in the development of an EMEA specific a roadmap for harmonized processes, systems and tools that facilitate our offer & contract development capabilities such as the implementation of the Configure Price Quote System (CPQ) and ensure this is integrated with other Medtronic systems: Salesforce.com Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Vendavo Pricing Management systems and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system like Contract Repository.
- Drive change management of the new CPQ system for Sales teams and Offer & Contract Development teams by enabling them to learn new processes, systems, roles, and responsibilities.
- Partner with the Contracting Group to understand new EMEA contracting initiatives and translate those into harmonized offer & contract development process flows and system requirements;
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive change management and process standardization and ensure they understand the changes that are needed (what, how and when);
- Help support the process for offer & contract development. Ensure processes are defined and documented. Maintain process standards that will act as standard for the operating units.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Proven track record with leading change within an organization as well as strong project management and time management skills.
- Solid knowledge of contract systems or offer & contract development systems, such as CPQ.
- You are able to develop enterprise end-to-end processes flows leveraging your contacts
- Expertise in problem solving techniques, review dashboards and identify potential improvement;
- Experience working within a project oriented team;
- Able to communicate effectively to our stakeholders in Business, Pricing, Finance and IT and able to distill key information needed for your research and KPI driven analytics;
- Experience with the Microsoft Office (Visio, Word, Excel and Powerpoint), Teams, SharePoint, SmartSheets or other planning application;
