About the Role:
The Business Product Owner will support the business and product management team by assisting with requirements gathering backlog management and the product development lifecycle. This role will be responsible for translating business needs into product features and bridging gaps across key stakeholders in order to bring a product vision to life.

• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Technical aptitude with the ability to grasp new technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working in an agile environment
• A passion for building great products and features that meet business and user needs

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• BA/BS degree in Business Technology or related field preferred
• Desired experience with design engineering or software development
• 1-3 years of experience in a product management or related role

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify new features and functionality
• Assist with creating user stories acceptance criteria and grooming the product backlog
• Participate in sprint planning reviews retrospectives and daily standups
• Collaborate with product development teams to ensure requirements are understood
• Contribute to documentation like functional specifications user guides and requirement docs
• Support product research efforts including business and user interviews
• Help define and track success metrics for products and features
• Develop a strong understanding of the product technology and architecture
• Improve knowledge of the product development lifecycle
• Continue to enhance communication collaboration and product leadership skills
