Description:
Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the team behind one of the World’s largest Cloud Infrastructures, responsible for developing, building and maintaining the entire Microsoft Cloud. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide, and we are looking for a passionate Business Program Manager (BPM) to help achieve that mission.
Within CO+I, the Regional Milestone Review (RMR) team within the Integrated Planning and Execution (IPE) organization manages governance oversight across delivery of datacenter capacity for Microsoft’s Cloud Business across the globe. We have a portfolio of complex projects that require oversight from End-to-End. The Business PM provides CO+I centralized management of corporate controls and support through the life cycle of a project build. This role will be a vital connection and orchestration point to ensure we have clear global standards and governance criteria for cross-org leadership sign-off and translating those into business requirements for platform implementation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product developmento OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check every two years thereafter.
- This position requires verification of citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate’s citizenship will be verified with a valid passport.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience coordinating and driving project accountability across multiple time zones and geographies
- Ability to articulate business workflow and requirements into a functional Business Requirements Document (BRD)
- Create User Experience workflows, capture feedback, and develop final system requirements
- Able to work in a highly matrixed regionally dispersed work environment
- Self-starter with business acumen and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
- High attention to detail with consistent delivery, all while juggling multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively within multiples levels of an organization
- Demonstrated influencing skills, with proven ability to handle multiple stakeholders and work streams across various levels of the organization, and prioritize as needed, including pushing back
- Demonstrated experience and success at delivering cross functional programs and validated ability to influence without direct management authority, taking ownership and driving results
- Become a trusted advisor - providing direction and guidance to internal stakeholders answering related questions or issues, while demonstrating a positive attitude
Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.

Responsibilities:
- Manage documentation, process, and transition of project phase milestones from project start through build/construction and hand-off to Microsoft Operations
- Work with Project teams to identify workflows and help draft business requirements for our DCEM (Data Center Execution Management) platform
- Central point of contact championing the core business requirements with our engineering team to ensure an optimal user experience through the RMR life cycle
- Coordinate with executives, administrative staff, and project teams to facilitate leadership review and alignment on project execution strategy across our datacenter build portfolio
- Deliver business results through a laser focus on global standardization, process consistency, and data integrity
- Assist with planning and tracking of RMR execution steps and key deliverables
- Drive quality control reviews at the regional and executive levels to ensure all accountabilities are met and the high bar for leadership approval is met
- Use gained experience and expertise to improve overall process design and execution activities to achieve an enterprise-level, scalable model
