Description:
The Business Project Analyst at Pernod Ricard Africa is responsible for providing crucial support to the C3PM Leadership team in enhancing the performance of over 50 scoped markets. This role involves leveraging data analysis to facilitate informed decision-making, encompassing macroeconomic trends, industry data (IWSR), and internal metrics, to drive strategic insights and summaries.
Additionally, the position entails coordinating Leadership team projects, such as workshops, stakeholder presentations, and transformation initiatives, while fostering seamless collaboration among various departments (e.g., Finance, Operations, Sales, Marketing) through effective project management office (PMO) practices and proactive deadline anticipation. Furthermore, the Business Project Analyst is tasked with aiding in the tracking of initiatives established during the 3-Year Plan (3YP) exercise, thereby playing a pivotal role in optimizing business performance and contributing to the organization’s overall success.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Analysis and recommendations on pricing, profitability, marketing spends, and structure costs:
- Pricing analysis reports and recommendations
- Profitability analysis reports and recommendations
- Marketing spend analysis reports and recommendations
- Cost structure analysis reports and recommendations
- Portfolio analysis in specific markets vs industry data:
- Market-specific portfolio analysis reports
- Industry benchmarking reports
- Ad hoc dashboards
- Customized dashboards for specific business needs
- Real-time data visualization for decision-making
- Detailed dynamic calendar
- Dynamic calendar with detailed scheduling and event tracking
- Integration with project timelines and deadlines
Key Competencies & Experience
Industry knowledge and experience:
- At least 3-5 years’ experience;
- Excellent planning and organising skills;
- Very strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong numerical and financial acumen;
- In depth understanding of the business at both a strategic and implementation level;
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI, JDE or Polaris (advantageous).
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Willing to travel within Africa;
- The ideal candidate will have experience working in Africa;
- Languages: English, French or Portuguese (advantageous)
