Job Summary
Zurich Life Assurance Plc (ZLAP) is looking for a Business Resilience Lead to oversee our resilience initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory and Group requirements, policies and frameworks.
The successful candidate will work within a wide range of areas across the company including Operations, IT/Information Security, Risk, Legal and Compliance. You will also have the opportunity to drive key strategic initiatives in an exciting area with increasing focus.
This role is a 12-month contract position.
Your Role
As a Business Resilience Lead, your main responsibilities will include but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
- Supporting and maintaining the ZLAP annual business resilience programme of activities and deliverables.
- Lead the local delivery of annual regulatory digital and operational resilience requirements. This includes the support of service owners and to maintain and coordinate the annual cycle of operational resilience Board approvals (criteria, final CIBS’s, impact tolerances, scenario test plan, self-assessment, and the framework).
- Coordinate, embed and oversee key Group resilience requirements and frameworks including the Group Resilience tool (Fusion) and Internal Control Integrated Framework (ICIF).
- Develop and provide subject matter expertise and guidance for key stakeholders including senior management, functional experts, and contract owners.
- Coordinate company-wide business resilience engagement and awareness including working with functional owners to identify and maintain critical processes & dependencies, and to build and test appropriate service continuity capabilities.
- Support the relevant crisis management teams and reporting to the regulator (DORA) as an integral part of managing live incidents.
- Represent the function (as required) at relevant governance fora and leading the delivery of resilience reporting to committees.
- Supporting functions in the application of policies and frameworks in the management of their resilience requirements.
- Developing and sharing best practice in the area of resilience.
- Provide input and expertise into strategic projects.
Your Skills and Experience
As the Business Resilience Lead your skills and qualifications will include:
- A minimum of 2 Grade C3/H5 at Higher Level in the Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) or FETAC Level 6 Diploma or higher
- Good understanding of operational processes across the company
- Strong analytical skills and decision-making ability
- Ability to operate independently and as part of a small team
- Ability to work to multiple deadlines and targets
- Knowledge of business resilience, third party or risk management processes would be advantageous
- Excellent communication, relationship building and influencing skills, including with senior management

This is a hybrid role which will require 2-3 days in office (Blackrock) per week.
