Responsibilities:
The Business Sales Agent role is a strategic and client centric opportunity within our Business Customer & Growth Team based at our Perth CBD offices.
The purpose of this role is to acquire and retain contracted sales in the small to medium business portfolio, while balancing both business and customer needs to ensure each contract is of commercial value. By delivering exceptional customer service they help build strong business customer relationships which lead to long term customer loyalty and mutual business success.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Manage the energy needs of business customers both directly with Synergy or via Third-Party Intermediaries, to retain and acquire contestable energy customers. Conduct thorough needs assessment and identify customer’s energy consumption patterns, budget constraints, and any future energy-related goals, while providing a positive and memorable experience, that increases customer satisfaction, loyalty contribute and both attraction and retainment of customers
- Achieve individual and team sales targets, ensuring optimal margin outcomes and contributing to strategic financial KPIs.
- Negotiate on contract terms and/or pricing, work flexibly with customers to find solutions that meet their needs while still being commercially viable. Provide clear and transparent information about energy plans, pricing, contract terms, and any additional charges. Educate the customer on options available and how each option can benefit their business.
- Analyse data and reporting to identify emerging trends and anomalies, business opportunities and continuous improvement.
- Follow business rules and compliance guidelines, ensuring DFA policy is adhered to. Adhere to customer SLAs and maintain portfolio hygiene.
